What is this piece on the undercarriage called?
Might look like two pieces stapled together but nissan parts system showing it as one whole piece. I would grab one from a junkyard so you can get all the hardware your missing too. Does this go into the wheel well?
Is the plastic cover under the engine falling off?
The plastic cover under the front end and engine is falling off. One large piece is off, another is dragging. Is this something I need to replace? Is it just for aerodynamics (i.e. for better milage), or is it essential?
How do you remove a plastic cover from a car?
I would recomend inspecting the underside of your car and temporarily removing anything that is dragging/“falling off”. Those covers are held on with little plastic retainers, you put a flat head screwdriver in the slot on the side and gently pull down on it.

Why did my car undercarraige cover come loose?
As an aside, my car undercarraige cover once came loose due to a sloppy technician who performed the oil change. Think back to any very recent maintenance you may have had done on the car that might have precipitated this. In my case, the dealer replaced the cover for free.
