Here’s how to do that:
- Loosen both thumbwheels.
- Slide the crossbar to the very back of the roof rack.
- Using a long, flathead screwdriver (or a similar tool), press on the metal tongue inside the end cap on the end of the rail.
- Slide the crossbar off the roof rack.
- Repeat these steps for the second crossbar.
