Why are the fuses on my Radio not working?
Fuses don’t usually randomly fail, so there’s likely an underlying cause. First, off there are two fuses for the radio, and they may need to be inserted in the right order for the radio’s microprocessor to wake up happy.
What to do if your radio wont turn on?
Take some small gauge wire directly to the battery terminals, and connect to the correct pins on your radio harness/plug (yellow for power, black for ground). See if it even turns on with direct power. Rule out the HU itself first. EDIT, just read the above post.
How can I tell if my fuses are still working?
The #12 fuse location is central to the circuit, so finding out if power is present there will tell us which way to go. Here are the other circuits the fuse feeds… just in case one or two may still operate. Check a few of these other systems to see if they operate or if it’s isolated to the radio and dome lamps.
What should I do if my VW Radio is broken?
If the hard reset doesn’t work for you, check the fuse box and replace any blown fuses. This probably won’t fix the problem, but it’ll help you ensure that everything is in working order while troubleshooting the broken radio.

Where are the fuses on a Bose radio?
Note that there are two 30 Amp fuses for the AMP (the radio audio amplifier), one for the active system, where the power amplifier is behind the seats, and a separate one for the Bose system, which powers the relays that switch power to the speakers, which have the power amplifiers built into the Bose speakers on the doors.
How can I tell if my Bose radio is working?
If you have a Volt/Ohm meter, you can check for power at the radio and a good ground. Power to the radio is through the RD/WH wire, ground is through the BK/WH wire. If you have premium audo (Bose, probably) you have the 30 Amp AMP fuse with power directly to the power amp on the RD/BK wire.
What to do if your boat radio is not working?
Make sure you check the grounds too. Fuses are easy to check and a good place to start…but I’m going to bet a quarter that it’s a ground. If you have a vom or one of those lights for checking power…check the red power lead. If you have power going to the units…it’s a bad ground connection. DIDO ON BRIANS IDEA!
