What to do if your Jeep Patriot heater stops working?
At this point, the blower motor blows air across the it and the newly heated air blows on to the driver and passengers. If the heater has stopped working in your Patriot, this process has failed in one way or another. A word of caution: If there is no coolant in your overflow, you can refill it by adding more to the overflow reservoir.

I also found the block heater cord on the drivers side near the fuse box. If you lead it down to the lowest opening in the bumper chin and keep the cord behind — toward the rear — of the fuse box the cord is just the right length but does not hang out too much.

Glad it’s fixed. Supposedly, you just turn the motor output by hand until it lines up with the actuator linkage. The FSM states that you have to calibrate the new motor using a scan tool, but you guys don’t mention doing this. Im having similar, but with other symptoms, as well. 2012 Jeep Patriot Limited 2WD.
