If you look up in the passengers foot well, you can see the resistor and besides it the blower motor. The motor is fixed with 3 screws. Just wiggle all visible wires and see what happens. If the problem is inside the AC control panel, then there is most probably not much to do then replacing the panel.

Why are the vents on my Jeep not working?
This is typical of a vacuum leak or failure of the vacuum check valve. When you ascend the hill, you loose vacuum from the engine and the A/C vacuum controls loose suction so the vents can’t remain open. Most systems then default to defrost vents.
