Is there a problem with my low beams?
I have a Gen 4. I have checked all of my fuses just to make sure they were all good. My low beams do not work at all. However, my high beams work fine. If i have the low beams turned on, there is nothing. When i turn on the high beams, they work fine. Heres the wierd part though.

Let’s test the light switch. The low beams work, so we know most of the switch works OK, so let’s look at the part controlling the HIGH BEAM, connector C on the Under Dash Fuse Relay Box, UDFRB, has the wiring that goes to the switch. You should be able to see the infamous RED wire with the BLUE stripe – it’s in position #7.

On the 2002 ML’s, the low beams are not fused. They receive direct voltage from the Combination Sw. to the AAM, to the EAM and then to the low beams. Hopefully the problem will be with the Combo. Sw.

Suggest junk yard new they are about 200. The headlights on my 88 260E would turn OFF when I switched from high beams to low beams. Very unsettling the first time it happened. If I fiddled with the beam change lever the lows would come on so I knew the problem was the steering column switch. I bought a new one and all ws well again.

The driver side low beam headlight bulb is located in the middle of the headlight assembly. The bulb’s base and power connector are both light grey. To remove the bulb, grasp the base and turn it 1/4 turn counter clockwise. Then pull it straight out from the headlight.

How to fix a Toyota Camry headlight problem?

The connector that goes into the daytime running light module had a groud pin broke. Toyota had 3 wires into one pin and it broke in the connector. I cut out the wires and ran them to a new ground point and my problem was fixed.
What does the beeping on my Tacoma mean?
You need to come to a full stop, put it in Neutral (Auto Trans?), and then rotate the dial from H4 to L4. The beeping means it isn’t engaged. Youe WILL feel the difference in L4… tons of low end torque! you might have to move the switch back and forth from 4hi to 4lo a few times to make it engage.
How do you get out of L4 on a Tacoma?
Stop, put in N (Neutral), rotate dial to L4, put into D (Drive) and it clicks in then or as soon as you begin to move… The wheel possion is not an issue either, but usually mine are straight. To get out of L4, reverse that process.
