2007 Jeep Compass, my Mom bought it used. The (4WD!) light comes on and sometimes it will all but bog down to a complete stop. Sometimes it stalls the jeep. You restart it and continue on your way. What would cause this? Also the ABS and EPS lights stay on.

Is there a fix for the 4WD light on?

There are a few power splices (like a 2-into-1 splice) in there that have been known to corrode (not protected very well from slushy/wet feet wetting the carpet). You’ll have to pull off some plastic trim and peel the carpet back to find it. Also, make sure nothing is holding the 4×4 lock lever up slightly, like a coin or something.
