Does a 2010 Jeep Patriot have a CVT transmission?
There are few changes to the Jeep Patriot for 2010. With the Patriot Sport 4×2 you have your choice of either the 2.0-liter I-4 or the 2.4-liter I-4 and either the 5-speed manual transmission or the standard CVT, where the Limited and Latitude 4×2 only offers the 2.4-liter I-4 with either the 5-speed or the CVT.
What kind of transmission do I need for a 2007 Jeep Patriot?
Your 2007 has low range, so you may want to find a FD2 transmission from 2008-2016 models. In 2007 all CVT Patriots had low range, but 2008-2016 non-FD2 CVT’s have had autostick. FD2 has always had the low range. Should be the same as far as I know. Trekkie, trucker, Jeeper, potential racer. Don’t touch my trumpets.
When does the CVT start on a Jeep Patriot?
I spoke to a dealer and they said that in their computer they show part number R8000840AF ending in model year 2009. So the person at the dealer said that 2007, 2008, and 2009 should work in my Patriot. Still couldn’t answer the questions I had about the autostick not working and losing the L/low option.

What does Daw mean on a Jeep Patriot CVT?
Click to expand… DAW I am being told is the off road crawl option. Well, all ’07 CVT’s had the low range, whether FD2 or not. FD2 would say “offroad” next to the L, but I’d say it’s worth a look.

Can you put CVT after CVT in Jeep Patriot?
Yes, there’s cases of dealers throwing CVT after CVT into a Patriot that won’t stop “transmission whining”…you yourself said dealers don’t know anything anymore….those cases were probably actually faulty AC units, which make the same whining noise when they go out…much cheaper than a transmission, as I understand it.
