Can you play music off of a flash drive?
I have a few odd issues playing music off of my USB flash drive. Yes, my USB drive is formatted correctly. Yes, all my music is in a valid format (mp3 and wma). I can play music off of the USB in my car, the problem is that the files on my USB drive are always scrambled, so I can’t play an album in the track order.
What to do when music won’t play on USB?
Put the USB drive in your computer and find a file that won’t play in the car. Right click on it and go to properties. Windows 7 let’s you update the ID2 information so enter title, artist, etc. Save it and then try to play it again in the car.

Why are my songs playing in alphabetical order on my flash drive?
Click the “Sync” tab, then drag the selected songs to the “Sync List” box. Click “Start Sync” to copy the songs to your flash drive. Plug the USB drive into your music player to see if the songs still play in alphabetical order. If they do, then the problem isn’t related to the flash drive, but is a feature of your music player.
