Where is the cable on an automatic gearshift lever?
It fit perfect. The cable/coupling is on top of the shift column only 3-4″ from the shift lever. You don’t need to remove the lower clam shell or the column tilt lever; just unscrew the three screws, pull up the top of the clam shell, take out the pin, uncouple the cable & it’s off.
Is there a replacement for the shift interlock latch?
This Dorman Shift Interlock Latch is a great replacement piece for the infamous issues with the Shift Interlock Latch (aka, “the pink thingy”). If you find yourself unable to take your car out of park, this may be your issue. The part arrived in timely fashion and was the best price I could find.

What kind of transmission does a 2002 F-250 Superduty have?
2002 F-250 Superduty 5.4 v8, auto trans w/ OD, 4×4. One of my Superduties has some nasty slop in either the shifter or the linkage. It appears that the problem is in the column right where the shifter pivots. Shifting into forward gears isn’t too much of a problem.
Why does my Super Duty shift so hard?
