Why are my power windows and locks not working?
My power windows and locks stopped working. None of the controls on any of the doors seem to work except for the side view mirror controls. The power locks do still work with the remote though. Also, not sure if it’s related but at about the same time, the front driver side door stopped opening from the outside but still works from inside.

What should I do if my power window is not working?
If no voltage is detected on any or some of the wires, the wiring in the door jamb should be wiggled while the voltage is monitored to see if the is a fluctuation. If there is, it indicates broken or loose connections in the door jamb. Check for this and replace or fix as required.

If all windows aren’t working and door locks are only working on passenger side or not working at all from interior, that is a pretty good indication that the driver side switch is bad or there is an issue with the wiring of the driver side switch.

Nissan does not have any fuses on the Altima that are labeled “Windows” or “PW” and there is no fuse box diagram explaining what each fuse is for in the owner’s manual.

The windows and the locks are on two separate circuits. The only part that these two have in common is the master switch. Of course it is also possible that the wiring harness between the driver side door and cowl is corroded and that some of the pins are to corroded or even broken off and do not make contact.

How to fix driver side power door lock?
1. disconnect the battery and connect both the positive and negative cables together(after disconnected)) 2. disconnect the window and lock controller in the driver’s side door. 3. Leave cables connected for at least 5 minutes 4. Re-connect door window controller and locks wiring harness 5.
Begin working on the window of the driver’s side of the car. Hold down the window switch and listen for the noise of the motor. If you do not hear a noise, the window switch, regulator, motor or wiring is damaged. To figure out the problem, you will need to take off the door panel.

What causes power windows, door locks and climate control to fail?
It was a multi system electrical failure of the power windows, power door locks, radio, and climate control system. It was intermediate, which lead me to believe it had to be a connection problem. After internet investigation I was lead to believe it was the 125 amp fuse under the hood on the outside of the fuse box.
