Click to expand… Just tells you that you do not have a air pocket trapped in the heater core in a KJ,most common place for it to get trapped. It’s opening the rad cap that lets the air out of the system. Otherwise the system stays pressurized and the coolant level will never drop to replace the air in the system with coolant.
Why is my air conditioning not working on my Jeep Liberty?
Dana Dowling/Demand Media The air conditioning system in your Jeep Liberty compresses a refrigerant and blows the resulting cold air into the passenger cabin. When this system is not working properly, it can be because the pressure in the AC lines is too low, or because the compressor has failed.

If there is coolant in the overflow side of the coolant bottle (after several warm/cold cycles of the engine) and coolant level is above cold full when cold, disconnect the end of the overflow hose at the fill neck and lower it into a clean container. Allow coolant to drain into the container until emptied. Reconnect overflow hose to fill neck.
Where is the air conditioning line on a Jeep Liberty?
The air conditioning lines will be steel lines running on the left side of the engine bay. The low pressure line on your Liberty is marked with a blue valve cap on the line.
