Why do you get cold air on the driver side?
The evaporator core is on the passenger side of the vehicle on most makes, so that is why you get cold air on the passenger side. By the time the cold air makes it to the driver’s side, it has picked up a lot of heat, and you feel the difference. I wanted to thank you guys for posting this info.

Heat is blowing on… When I turn on the heat, the passenger side is receiving warm/hot air but drivers side is receiving cold air. Wow, mine is doing the same thing.

You have a passenger blend door and driver blend door. Not 2 for each side. That is the system default when your system gets low on Freon. It happened to me a few times on my old WK1. Have your a/c charge checked before you start tearing apart your dash. Recharge AC before anything else. Had same problem.

Repairs for this problem = A/C compressor, orifice tube and drier replaced about 1 year ago. The problem I have is that when you turn the ac on the cool air only comes out the 2 vents on the passenger side. The 2 vents on the drivers side have warm air blowing out. A/C is controls are set to max air and max cold on the temp control.

Where is the driver’s side air mix servo located?
Before you do that, look under the dash on the driver’s side, up to the right just under the water hoses on the side of the ventilation system. That is where the driver’s side air mix servo is located. Look for wires and the connector that plug into the servo and make sure they are plugged in.

It’s odd that one day my A/C works fine and the other it blows hot to the max air out of the passenger side and cold to the max on the driver side. Defroster isn’t working properly either because when I have it on it just blows air out of the regular vents.

Took it to the dealer and they say it could be running out of free-on but that wouldn’t cause it to blow hot as hell air out of one side and cold as hell air on the other no matter what temp setting you have it set. It’s a ‘14 I don’t think it should be having these issues plus we ride with Windows down most of the time.
