Is the Jeep Grand Cherokee a diesel truck?

And speaking of noise… Kick over the Grand Cherokee Overland’s [optional] 3.0-liter common rail diesel and the engine sounds like… a diesel. That said, it sounds like my neighbor’s truck a quarter of a mile away. And by the time you accelerate to 35 mph, the oil burner is inaudible over the air conditioning fan– on low.
Is the 3.0L EcoDiesel engine on the Jeep Wrangler?
Unfortunately, the EcoDiesel was discontinued, making 2019 the last year they were available. 3.0L EcoDiesel Jeep Wrangler & Gladiator In 2020, FCA brought the new EcoDiesel engine to the Jeep Wrangler. The Wrangler has always been powered by smaller gasoline engines that provide less than stellar fuel economy.
How many miles per gallon does a Jeep Grand Cherokee get?
There’s more power when you initially accelerate, so it may feel jerky, but eventually you’ll like how quick it feels, especially when that power still gets you around 28 miles per gallon on the highway! The only negative was trying to find a gas station with a diesel pump before we left the island.

Is the Jeep Grand Cherokee a reliable car?
This car certainly did not live up to expectations in reliability. It pulled fine, and got 24 MPG, so that part was fine. I made the deal a day before our state closed auto sales for a while, and got a non diesel car, first time I haven’t owned a diesel since 1975 Rabbit, and a series of VWs culminating in this Ecodiesel 3.0.
