Is there a problem with my GMC Sierra door actuator?
2003 GMC Sierra blowing hot air on driver side. Took out blend door actuator that controls driver side heat/air. Manually operated door and got cool air or hot air so door is not a problem. I am trying to figure if it is the actautor or the control.
How to remove the passenger side temp control?
Pull the passenger handle from the dash. You can alternate from side to side until it is fully removed or you can have someone assist you. Grasp the upper edge of the trim panel and pull out. Once the upper edge is released, work the panel up until it releases from the dash panel.

In some cases you can manually test the blend door actuator in others you can use computer for the diagnostics. There are usually a few blend door actuators that are part of the hvac system. Once you remove those bolts, just reach in, kind of pull it down and out of the way. The actuator is right down here. It’s held in with two bolts, they’re 7/32s. One of them is right over here. The other one’s on the opposite side.
