I had a few minor issues with it such as auto wipers malfunctioning. I towed a 1500 kg boat regulary and must say that it did it with ease and in comfort.

Great tow vehicle , still economical with 2 tonne hanging off the back. No major problems at 195,000kms (approx 125,000 miles). Runs like new..still got another 100,000 kms (60,000 miles) at least in it. The Commander started with a number of stupid problems..software not quite right, sun roof drain tubes blocked etc etc.

It was a lot better to drive and heaps more go than my previous vehicle, a GU Patrol. Fuel consumption wasn’t great but it’s a big car. minuses would be parts cost and availalability and as they are getting on in k’s parts cost will become relevant.

How old is the Jeep Commander in Australia?

Has now been at a Jeep dealer for 3 months and neither Jeep Australia nor Jeep USA can work out what the problem is. Dealer is now refunding our money. We traded a 1995 Cherokee on this. The Cherokee was 20 yrs old with 212k kms on it and had never let us down, hence I was happy to buy another Jeep, but never again.
