If I turn on the intermittents the wiper blades make one wipe and stop – never to swipe again no matter which speed I select. The only wiper options are normal and fast speed continuous wiping. I believe the car does have automatic wipers but they don’t work as described above.

Where is fuse 14 on Jeep Wrangler washer pump?
Can’t see your profile/year. Bullethead, it’s probably not the fuse but the wipers are on fuse 14 which is 20a. The washer pump is on the same fuse so if that works the fuse is good. Here is a link to a photo of the panel & label on the cover.
