There are no driveability issues related to this DTC. To determine if DTC P2096 set falsely, view the freeze frame data for the DTC. If the freeze frame data shows the following values, it is likely that the DTC was falsely set. If the DTC was set falsely, a revised engine calibration has been developed to address this issue.

What would be great to know if the oxygen sensors them selves where the fix or that after resetting the PCM, with updated calibration files, the vehicle had to be reset to be a new vehicle, which was the fix the complete reset, or the oxygen sensors. all I can tell you that if both are done in conjunction to one another it works like it should.

What to do when code p2096 is reset?
If a code P2096 is now reset, start the engine and allow it to reach normal operating temperature. Allow it idle (with the transmission in neutral or park). Use the scanner data stream to observe O2 sensor input data. By narrowing the scope of the data stream to include only pertinent data, you will get a faster data response.
