Can you put gas in a Jeep Grand Cherokee?
A few months ago I bought a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I’ve had a lot of problems putting gas in the tank though. Although my tank needs gas, it acts as if it has a full tank when I put gas in, and the gas tank will stop every few seconds, like it would do after putting in a full tank.
Why is my 2017 Grand Cherokee not filling up?
Most of the time it’s the pump and not the vehicle. Anyone else having this problem on their 2017 grand cherokee? Just got a 2017 GC and I CANT fill the tank without it “clicking” and stopping before having to squeeze the gas handle again.

In your case you have a fuel tank that is not venting quick enough and causing your fuel back up problem. Your fuel tank has a two part tank with a crossover tube that equalizes the two parts of your tank. If the crossover tube or the fuel tank vent on top of the fuel tank is defective or damaged will cause the issue you are having.

Checked with Jeep Andy there are no recalls on the car. Gas tank would not fill up, it would immediately click when adding gas no matter how empty or full the tank was. Tried filling up gas at multiple gas stations, thinking it was a pump issue, but no luck anywhere.
