Where did the SERV 4WD light come on?
Rolling along highway at 65 all the lights flashed and SERV 4WD came on and 4WD LOW…though we maintained speed and didn’t appear impacted after we exitted at an offramp and started again was evident we were in 4WD from the pulling when turning and revving to higher than normal revs for low speed. Turned off car and back on and it cleared.
Why does my Jeep have a service 4WD light?
The service manager called later in the day and mentioned they pulled a DTC from the DTCM that was isolated as being a faulty code generated from the ELSD due to faulty programming from Chrysler. Seems I’ve read several other people were told the same thing, only to find out that the “flash” repair process isn’t the fix for everyone.

Where is the SERV light on a Jeep Grand Cherokee?
It controls the 4wd system and will cause both lights to come on. It is located under the driver’s front seat as shown below. When it is replaced it has to be programmed. It is number 3 in the link below.
When did the traction control light come on on my Jeep Grand Cherokee?
They came out with an update and had it reflashed – it worked (no light and lorange worked) from Nov 2014 until Aug 2015. Now the Service 4wd is light is constantly on, no lo range – again. Service 4wd and traction control light came on. This is the 3rd jeep in the family to have this happen. Never been off road.

Why does my Cherokee SRT8 have a service 4WD warning?
