What does it sound like when you hit 3000 rpm?
Ok so i have my car tuned up pretty well, ignition timing at about 12 degrees, brand new plugs and wires. Suddenly on my way home from town last week…i went on the gas pretty hard, and once the needle hit about 3000 RPM, it sounds like a popcorn machine in my exhaust, and the rpms jump all over the place.
Why does my handlebar vibrate at 3000 RPMs?
Handlebar vibration is usually a wheel balance problem . Lower air pressure wear the tire unevenly pretty fast and then , vibration begins . Check front tire , replace tire if needed and balance wheel/tire again , on that order . I don’t think it is a wheel issue. I can feel the vibration around 3000 RPM’s through all the gears.
Can a motorcycle not vibrate at 3000 rpm?
The result is a motorcycle that doesn’t vibrate at all through the handlebar, though at idle, you can feel a pleasant engine pulse rise up into your hands and seat.
Why does my car idle at high RPM?
It only happens when i hit the gas hard, it idles and cruises like a kitten. The first thing i though was the plugs, as the new plugs i put in were rated a bit colder than my old plugs, so i switched the plugs back out for the old ones, and it didn’t change anything.

Upon reaching the bay (and end of the 4 MPH zone) I find that maximum RPM is only about 3000 and speed about 15 mph (normal full throttle is 4500 RPM & 40 MPH). All other gauges are normal (oil, temperature, etc). No warning tones and engine sounds normal.
