Is the turn signal blinking on my Jeep Liberty?

Is the turn signal blinking on my Jeep Liberty?

Ooops sorry . . . . it is a 2006 Jeep Liberty. Yes, I did try the hazards and they appeared (and sounded) to function normally. So I’m not sure if the 06 has the two front bulbs on both sides but if all the bulbs were working with the flashers then I’d say the relay in the switch was bad.

Why is my turn signal flashing really fast?

If your turn signal is flashing really fast on one side and flashing normally on the other, it means one of your bulbs is burned out on the side that is flashing really fast.

Why is my rear turn signal blinking twice?

That definitely rules out the relay for sure. :waytogo: It is most likely the rear turn signal bulb is burnt. Do yourself a favor and check that first before you purchase a relay. You probably installed a defective bulb or the contacts need to be cleaned. I have had the same problem myself. Fixed it!!

How does the blinker work on a jeep kJ?

Normally, the electricity will flow from the battery to the blinker stick then to the relay/flasher. The electricity then flows thru the wire….travels thru the bulb (lighting it up), continues flowing thru the wire then connects to the car, and then to the battery.

Why is my turn signal blinking on both sides?

A bad relay/flasher causes BOTH sides to be affected in the same manner. BUT if the left side is blinking fine then you will know that the relay/flasher is still good because it’s still doing its job. However much electricity is sent thru the wires is the same amount that needs to return to the battery.

What causes a flashing check engine light on a Jeep Liberty?

While a majority of the time, the flashing check engine light is going to be caused by a misfire related to your Liberty’s ignition system or fuel system (as stated above), there are other issues that can cause it. Your timing chain could have jumped . If you have VVT, it may be having issues.

Why does my Jeep Liberty not start up?

Crank/Cam Sensor- When the cam or crank sensors are not being read by the ECM/PCM, it’s impossible to get the ignition timing right. If you Liberty does start at all, it’ll run rough. It could be a more serious mechanical issue, such as as bent valve, bad lifter, etc….

Why does the turn signal blink double time?

When we replaced the flasher bulb, the blinker returned to normal. So it appears . . . . when a flasher bulb burns out, it causes the turn signal (on the same side) to blink at rapid speed, just like the flasher would do. Perhaps, its a safety mechanism to alert the driver that a Flasher bulb is not working????
