Can a Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited SmartKey work?

I have a 2001 JGC and one day I went to start the Jeep and all the dash board icons were lit up along with all my gauges being dead. I hit the fuse box and it all came back on but for a limited time. If the iginition key is turned to ACC, all the gauges work.
