Can’t change volume, tracks, mode button doesn’t work, the voice control button doesn’t work. The buttons do not light up. Call me naïve but a 100% believe the previous owner when they say they have never experienced this before and I put this purely down to bad luck. Regardless, it makes little difference.

Posting here in 2021, this is still a problem that made my steering wheel (Logitech NASCAR Racing Wheel) undetectable in-game. I had to open the Steam client settings, go to Controls, then find the Generic option and untick it. Working great now.

The switches are made in such a way that it is prudent to replace the switch rather than try to take it apart and replace the LED. The switches are relatively inexpensive and are very easy to replace.

The first is a fuse needs replacing (but I don’t know where to find the fuse this might relate to), and the second issue – rather more costly – could be the ‘clock spring’ is knackered….although I understand that would also affect the air bag and horn.
