When does the CVT start on a Jeep Patriot?
I spoke to a dealer and they said that in their computer they show part number R8000840AF ending in model year 2009. So the person at the dealer said that 2007, 2008, and 2009 should work in my Patriot. Still couldn’t answer the questions I had about the autostick not working and losing the L/low option.

Click to expand… DAW I am being told is the off road crawl option. Well, all ’07 CVT’s had the low range, whether FD2 or not. FD2 would say “offroad” next to the L, but I’d say it’s worth a look.

I have a 2008 Jeep Patriot with a CVT transmission. The car was recently purchased and seems to have problems with slippage. When I accelerate, the car revs up highly, the tack goes to nearly 4k but the car does not accelerate in unison. Also, going up hill seem to challenge it. Seems like its slipping.

In coming months this jewel will be traded in for something more reliable. You’ve got a problem, and its not you. Something is wrong with that gearbox. Insist on a new, really new, one.
