Try changing the throttle position sensor located on the throttle body. Pull throttle body off 4 bolts disconnect the 3 wires clean throttle body with throttle body spray or carb spray. Spray the other sensor clean to a shine. My jeep was doing same thing no more problems.

When normally starting the Jeep, if you stop at turning the key to on, you should see the red Security Key light go out. Sometimes it is only one key. If both key react that way, it is most likely the module (separate from the remote lock/unlock module) which I believe is mounted to the steering column under the dash.

Hi friends. I have a Puzzler-worthy issue going on with my 2002 Jeep Liberty (LTD, 4WD, V6). A few weeks ago (Christmas Eve!) it started to stutter when slowing down to a stop, and then – after a few times of doing that – began the bigger problem of completely stalling out/shutting off once at a stop (in traffic, at a light/stop sign).

Why do the dome lights come on on my Jeep Liberty?
The dome lights on my 2002 Jeep Liberty come on intermittently (with absolutely no activation). They may flash numerous times, stay on for a couple of minutes, etc. Eventually they will go off. There is no obvious reason for anything activating the lights…………they have a mind of their own.
