Can a 97-99 have a 19 gallon tank?
For a 97-99, you can either have the 15 gallon or 19 gallon. Now, from what I’ve heard, the 15/19 gallon tank are exactly the same, just a vent hose is enlongated to prevent you from putting in more then 15 gallons. There’s the YJ modification. For the guy who said his is a 99 and MUST have it, not necessarily. It may just be a later-98 model.

Tried to do a quick search here, but can’t find the answer. I read everywhere in specifications that it’s 21.5 gallons. For some reason I can never fill more than 17.5 gallons in my tank. I drove till almost completely empty, when I had 1.5 miles showed left, and the fill up was 17.6 gallons till full.
