Can you paint over Zinsser 123?
Yes you can paint over that – just make sure it is properly dry. Also if you are doing two coats over it make sure you also leave a good amount of drying time between. BE123 seems to slow the drying process a little and you will find the paint dragging if you try and second coat to soon.

Actually, sanding between coats of primer is pointless. Once primer is dry, you should sand the primer before moving on to the basecoat color. Sanding between layers of clearcoat is also not recommended. Wet sanding and polishing the final layer will yield a better result than doing it between each coat.

Dries to touch in 5 minutes and can be topcoated in 30 minutes with latex or oil-based paints. For best results, allow primer to cure overnight before applying strong solvent- based topcoats.
