What does it mean when you put your car in park and it keeps rolling?
It’s perfectly normal for your automatic transmission vehicle to move an inch or two after shifting it to park, such mechanical play is common even for modern cars. But if your vehicle rolls more than a few inches in Park position, it might be a sign that your transmission is faulty.
Is it OK to park car in gear?

You can use a screwdriver to lift it up. You can press on the manual release switch using a screwdriver. Push on and hold the override switch. Use the screwdriver to push the unlock tab to release the shifter. Turn the key to position II and severally press the brake pedal, this will cause the solenoid inside the shifter to release from Park.
What can I do about intermittent shift to Park?
To reduce the inrush of current that causes the excessive build-up on the contacts, install an in-line shifter wiring harness jumper (Fig. 33) between the shifter base connector and the console harness connector. With the vehicle in Park and the ignition off, remove the transmission control (shifter) lever knob and boot assembly. (Fig. 34)
