How to check the fuel pump on a Honda GL1500?
I received a question on how to check the fuel pump on the GL1500 and I’m going to post the test procedure from the service manual to make it easier. The diagram is for the wiring harness, where you will connect the jumper wire.
What should I do if my fuel pump is not working?
Fuel pump breakers usually have a button on top that pops up when it trips. Simply push this button back in until it clicks. Check the owner’s manual for the exact location. Fuel Pump Testing – If the fuse is good and the circuit breaker is not tripped; then the engine is not getting fuel pressure.
What should I do if my fuel filter leaks?
Gasoline should be held in its own container until it can be dropped off to a recycling location. Be careful of using plastic containers to hold gas, as it may eat through some kinds of plastic and cause a leak. Remove the clips holding the fuel filter in place. Most fuel filters are held in place by two plastic clips.
