Are International tractors any good?
They are a good tractor, good strong engine, good transmission. Sips fuel compared to a JD of that era. Hydraulics are the weakest part but or ok. Never had TA problems when we had ours and we put 5000 hrs on it in 4 years.
Why did International Harvester go out of business?
The final loss of IH independence in 1984 came after a long period of profit margins below those of its competitors. Traditionally, IH farm equipment had been the largest product line, even though the truck division had grown rapidly. The construction equipment division had been expanded through acquisitions.
