The V-69 is the maximum thickness thread a home sewing machine can use. We would also recommend using a #16 or #18 needle size (#16 needle for V-69 thread and #18 for V-92). We’d recommend using a V-69 or V-92 UV nylon thread for this project, as nylon will stretch and recover with the fabric.
