- Turn ignition on once.
- Press and hold the gas pedal. Keep the gas pedal pressed until the glow plug comes back on.
- Wait for the glow plug light to stop blinking.
- Wait 10 seconds with the ignition off.
- Turn the ignition back on.
- Press the gas pedal two times.

Do You Keep your Mercedes-Benz Sprinter full?
Dealership says keep it full. What’s your opinion??? Its like checking your oil and other fluid levels, you do not want it to go dry, I would start at 1000 miles checking and see how much you use, if its not too low check again in 2000 or 2500 miles and figure out how fast it goes bye bye, I would top off before it reaches 1/2 gone.

That low AdBlue (Diesel Exhaust Fluid or DEF) indicator doesn’t require hard SDS reset. If after refill the low AdBlue warning does not come off is 1/2/3 drive cycles – then from ML totally off turn the ignition to position 1 (on, but not cranking) for over 30 secs – then turn ignition off – if Keyless Go pull the button and use the key.
Is there a recall on the Mercedes Sprinter?
I know of the stories, I would consider filling a complaint. Its a known issues that needs a recall order filed by the GOV to force Mercedes to fix and reset as needed no-charge or fees other-wise it will never be resolved and will be a piggy bank for them here on out.

Each of them have been the shop multiple times for the same problems. Chk Eng/Chk DEF/10 Starts Remaining. Mercedes and Freightliner can not seem to solve the problems. They just throw parts at the problem and send you on your merry way, only to have the same problem occur a day/week/month later.
Do you need the Sprinter van Def delete kit?
Sprinter Van DEF delete kit. Very pleased with how incredibly easy the full turbo back/def delete exhaust fits and was to install. The quality of the kit is something you’d rather put in a display case from how incredible the workmanship is. I now wash the exhaust more then the vehicle. Doing the def delete is a must.
