It will run up a bit and then do nothing as long as the throttle is open. It is about three years old but has low hours (42). If the tank is full it will pull a vacuum quickly, and if the tank is half full it will take longer for the vacuum to form. When the vacuum forms the engine dies and won’t start until it sits for a while. Then the cycle repeats itself. I would check the cap just to eliminate it as a possible cause.

The best it ever was, it still was quite sluggish and had a stumble when the the throttle was opened. I think overall it was jetted a little lean, was a bitch to start when cold, required full choke even if it sat for a few min. after runnin for a while.
