Does each headlight have a ballast?

Do you need hid ignitor for HID xenon ballast?

Can a factory igniter be used on a JX 35 ballast?
If you have this part, and are in a pinch, you can use a D2R bulb in this igniter and it will fit the pocket for the bulb. But, the JX 35 factory igniter takes a D2S. The factory igniter WILL not work with this ballast, the wires are not in the same configuration, so you cannot order this ballast and plug in factory igniter.
