Can a 2004 DT 466 E start on its own?

Can a 2004 DT 466 E start on its own?

I’m working on a 2004 DT 466 e with the variable turbo that won’t start on it’s own. The fuel pressure at the manifold will only get up to about 20psi after exteneded cranking. I replaced the lift pump and it didn’t change one bit.

Can a stripped plug be repaired on a school bus?

The stripped plug will need to be repaired but what else do I need to test to ensure that my problem lies in this pump. Any help is greatly appreciated and I hope that I can offer the same help back at some point. Double check 12 volts at the IPR valve. Ground the other side of the IPR to completely close the IPR. Now dead head the pump.

Why are my pullin’wrenches not working on my 2004 DTS?

Pullin’ wrenches for 45 years. The 2004 DTs use the new Iron HPOP, and do not have a seal kit, or suffer from leaks. Low ICP during cranking WITH low fuel pressure may be due to a loose HPOP drive gear bolt, or low cranking speed.

Why does my dt466e no start-fuel problem?

Got that all fixed. Realized that my primer pump would leak when I would pump it, replaced the entire assembly. Filled both filters, truck fired on the first try. Now today go to run a call, cranks and cranks wont start. Gave a shot of ether, fires but wont run on diesel.

What’s the fuel pressure on an international dt466e?

Pressure while cranking is around 890 psi. With the pump dead headed to a gauge it is 4000 psi. I have changed the icp sensor and the ipr valve. fuel pressure is around 60 psi while cranking with the needle on the gauge bouncing. Also have installed new fuel pressure regulator. I would have to by a computer to swap.

Where is the fuel pump on a DT-466?

JaymZH2 wrote: fuel pump would be my guess. not sure on the older ones, but the newer DT’s it is on the drivers side mid block towards the front. a couple bolts a 2 lines and your done. I have a 2000 4700 DT-466, would what you call the fuel pump be the same thing they call the “high pressure pump” in the book that the lines from the filter go to??
