Overall, they’re pretty similar, but I’d say the Pearl has a bit more of a clear, robust sound. On the other hand, the DW feels like it has a deeper tone, which would sound killer under some mics. They both project well. I’d say it’s just a matter of personal preference between a deeper tone or a clearer tone.
