Why is my Nissan Rogue not opening the door?
First, potential Good news: This can be a common, simple problem with Nissan Rogue doors after cold weathers – the cable that sits inside the external door mechanism, that unlocks the door when we pull on the door handle , may just have come out of its housing (ie its not broken, it just came loose).

What to do if external door wont open?
Third – use the driver side window button on the window power box to move the window down until you can see two bolts aligned in the middle of the two holes I pointed out earlier. Fourth – carefully remove the two window bolts (I used a magnetic pen to pull them out on the last few unscrew turns).
Why is my driver door not locking or unlocking?
I found the problem!!!!!. I took the panel off and the metal cover that holds the window mech and found that the wires that go the the handle were not inserted in their clips (there are 2 of them) and they were hanging freely in the path of the mechanism which lead to them catching the glash and were torn off.

I checked all the fuses and they are fine. The doors work fine with the FOB and the passanger door works fine when you push the button on the handle. It might be a bad connection but where would I look?

Where is the latch on the Nissan Rogue?
The remote opens the rear doors only, then you have to climb in and reach the inside front latch to open the door. Then get out the vehicle and enter thru the front door. Nissan had or has recall on the 2008 rouge for the same problem. Why not on the 2009 Rogue?
Why is the driver’s door not opening from the outside?
The linkage ‘fell off’ from the outer door handle and the driver’s door would only open from the inside. Dealer fixed it in less than an hour and it has never reoccurred. Happened to me today while xmas shopping… Won’t open from the outside, so I have to open the passenger door, then lean across and open the driver’s door from the inside.
