Why is my Mazda MZD not saving settings?
With the system not saving the settings between times when the car is turned off, maybe the head unit has a faulty CMOS battery or connection to the cars 12v system is faulty…..I don’t know but had this issue with other electronic gizmos. So when you turn off the ignition is looses total power and possibly resets back to the original settings.
Why is my GPS not working on my Mazda NVA?
The only way I could correct this error was to turn off the engine, eject the SD card, turn on the engine with no SD card in the device, turn it off again, re-insert the SD card and turn the device on again. After about a minute, the device displayed that the GPS signal was lost, and then displayed the correct location again.

To be 100% sure everything is in order I even downloaded “Mazda Toolbox” software to verify my SD card and it checked OK showing as being paired with my VIN#.
