Why is my instrument cluster not working on my Kia Soul?
I’ve been having the instrument cluster failure issue for the last 4 days on my 2011 Kia Soul. After spending hours on UK and US Kia forums, I tried all the following suggestions: d) removing all the inside fuses and inspecting them one-by-one for a blown fuse. Also switching them around (NO FIX)
Are there any issues with the Kia Soul?
After doing some more reading, this seems to be an issue for some Hyundai/Kia vehicles, but not endemic enough to condemn the brand or the vehicle on the whole. They’re making it good under warranty. Don’t get paranoid, but keep an eye on your electrics.
When does the new Kia Soul cluster start?
They were able to recover it long enough to get current mileage. They’re ordering another one and sending it to a service that programs in the mileage from the old cluster. Otherwise, you get a sticker with old mileage and new cluster starts at zero. Should be done by end of week.
Is the shift interlock frozen on a Kia Soul?
Shift interlock frozen, had to depress the release to get it out of park. I shut it off and restarted it, ran smoothly but every gauge was dead, with no illumination. Gauge needles all reading at zero. No tach, gas gauge, temp gauge, odo display, or speedo.

Have a 2014 Soul. Intermittently will not start, lights come on , navigation screen has a message about battery drain. Had roadside assistance and they moved shift lever back and forth several times and it started. Took to the dealer (JT’s Kia) and they could not replicate the issue.
