Why does my Polaris ATV have no power?
One of them had slipped back into the boot, and I only connected the other one. This is why the ATV had no power at all when I was turning the key. Once I noticed this, I hooked up both positive cables to the terminal and everything works fine now.
Why does my Polaris Sportsman 500 not turn on?
No Electrical Power when Key is turned. New Battery I recently had a battery die on my 2012 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO. When that dead/dying battery was in place, the lights would power on dimly while the key was on, and I would hear a clicking sound while trying to start it, but it would not turn over.
Why is my Polaris cutting out at 1 / 2 throttle?
I had the same problem last year it was running great and started to cut in and out at 1/2 throttle. I messed with jets and cleaned the carb. By accident I bumped the positive lead on the battery and noticed it moved. Problem was solved. I quess it was getting enough juice to start but not when the rpms went up.
Are there any recalls on Polaris ATVs?
Polaris just recalled 95,000 units from 06 and they don’t even have one in the NATION!!!! The reps at the 800 customer service bascially said NOT MYPROBLEM and YOU DON’T HAVE ANY WHERE ELSE TO GO FOR HELP.
Start at the battery and work your way to the fuses with a volt meter when it reads no juice you back up one and this should be the issue. Main fuse blows=no power. I did something silly when I put my new battery in and did not get all of the pos wires connected to the battery. I had actually hooked on of them to the neg side.
Where are the electrical wires on a Polaris ATV?
I had actually hooked on of them to the neg side. Up front next to the computer are 2 black wires that are coming from the left side of the battery opening with a terminal connecting the 2 together and it has a red shrink wrap on the terminal make sure that you put it on the pos side.
Why does my sportsman 500 have no power?
Thew SSCB is bad. I ran 12v directly to the White/red (or visa-versa) wire in the wiring block and turned the key and it started. Good idea it was to buy a repair manual. Thanks for all of your help!
What kind of battery does a Polaris 570 use?
Had same issue on my 14 570. Batt volts went below 10 volts on crank. Installed a odyssey 925 battery no more problem. Take the battery to your local auto parts store and have them load test it.
Is it possible for Polaris battery to fail early?
Polaris battery have be known to fail early, but since you have an AGM replacement, could be something else The service manual is available in the download section of the site. It will have the steps for tests you need. I have a 2017 570eps model, that model has a ghost draw, my battery goes dead after 3 weeks. Haven’t tracked it down yet.
