Why does my CTS make a rattle and roll sound?

Right above my gauges something under the dash pad rattles and now this week something above CUE under the dash pad rattles. My 08 CTS doesn’t make a single sound going down the road. How can this be so bad? I’ll see if the dealership can address these at the next oil change but I’m amazed at all the lose bits making noise.
