Why does my CD player Skip to the last track?
For sure dirty lens can cause skipping. However faulty motors, their assemblies and cables can also be the cause. A CD reads from the disc center for the first track to the disc outer for the last track. Lens position must be accurately contolled.
What to use to repair a skipping CD player?
Lubricate the arm. Use a proper lubricant and apply it to the arm mechanism after making sure it’s clean. You can use a silicon or Teflon lubricant, or any lubricant appropriate for electronics and small motors. Close the case. Once you’ve lubricated the moving pieces, replace the tray and screw the cover back into place.
