Why do I hear liquid sloshing in my car?
Whenever I start my car and put it in gear, I hear the sound of liquid sloshing around as if there were a tub of water just behind the stereo. I can hear it for the first minute of driving (when I accelerate or decelorate) and then it goes away. The sound returns after the car’s been sitting for a while. What’s going on?
Where does water go in a Mercedes W211?
They have a flap over them allowing air exit but not in, however if you point a jet wash upward under the side of the rear bumpers water can go in. This is very bad on W211/W219 which has navigation processor, TV tuner, Parktronic, Keyless go etc modules around there on Left side.

Water can therefore enter there on a ML, and from the rear light seal if rear light has been replaced and seals were duff and not replaced, and also a bad boot door seal can let water in too. Why does my S3 Quattro have water under it?
If I park it nose down a hill after the road has dried it leaves water under the car but cant see where from as the car is still wet. I have pulled the plastic jacking bungs off various cars in the past for this, inc drilling a neat 8-10mm hole in the centre to aid draining. 1999 S3 Quattro. Stolen by my cousin in exchange for pennies !!
