Why are the lights on my Road Glide not working?
Turn signals work just fine, all the fuses are good, bulbs are good, no disconnected wires inside the fairing. Can’t finda ny disconnected wires anywhere – any thoughts on where to look? Double check the fuse labeled “lights” in position 19 in the fuse box. The brake and turn signals runoff a different fuse.

You can’t post conmments that contain an email address. SOURCE: Speedo, turn signals, brake lights, horn stopped working. All else is fine. Gap your plugs to 38 thou. Check all your bulbs (one burned out will affect the rest) Take a look at all your fuses and make sure they are all ok.

Think about a car…. red running lights in the rear, turns can be amber or red. The kits change bulbs also, to double element, which provides ‘run’ and brake function, and is required to be RED. Running lights at rear should be RED. It might in fact be the law ( I have heard this ). Just my 2 cents, trying to help, that’s all.

The running light is controlled by the main light circuit and fuse. I would check the wiring harness inside the rear fender for damage. You can also disconnect the rear light harness under the seat and apply B+ to the light terminals to make sure the harness is good. If I jumper the rear switches the brake light doesn’t work at all.

Where is the tail light on a Harley Davidson?
The blue wire (?) in the fender connector should be the tail light (running light). You should have 12Vdc there. Does your bike have the brake light harness that makes the rear turn signals brake lights also? Check under the seat for the wiring harness? neither the hand break lever or the foot lever are doing anything.
