Where is the starter in a 2008 Nissan Sentra?
OK, the starter is along the engine with its nose into the bell housing of the transmission. If you follow the positive cable from the battery it leads to the starter motor and to the main fuse block. Please let me know if you can locate it that way, there is a heat shield covering it so look for the cable.
What to do if your Nissan Sentra won’t start?
Your Sentra requires you to be in the park position for the car to start. If the park/neutral switch is not in the right place, the car will not start. Try starting your car from neutral (with the brake depressed), and see if this resolves the issue. Issues with the starter or solenoid plunger can result in a no-start, too.
Why does my Nissan Sentra make a clicking noise?
You could have poor electrical connections at the battery terminals. Corrosion builds up at the top of the battery next to the terminals, which may affect the connection. You may need to clean or replace the battery terminal or cables. What if the car makes a clicking noise but doesn’t start? The clicking sounds usually means it’s a dead battery.
Why did my Nissan Sentra p0340 not start?
The P0340 came back. I did some research and read that there was an issue with the timing chains stretching. Due to the marble noise and the cam sensor alarm it made sense to me that it had stretched. I took the timing cover off and the chain was very loose.
Why does the Nissan Sentra use fuel injection?
Newer cars use fuel injection because it’s more fuel efficient and produces fewer emissions. You will need professional help if you have a fuel injection engine. It may be time to upgrade to a new Nissan Sentra.
