Can a Vmax snowmobile go above 60 mph?
The sled will start and idle fine, and once it gets above about 60+ mph, the engine seems to take off and run ok. But from a stop to the higher speeds, it struggles to speed up. I have a second vmax sled that once i hit the gas, it just takes off like crazy, which is what i think this sled should do.

Start the engine, (with the timing light attached) (carbs at idle) and advance the timing fully. Check and adjust. Yes, the idle will rise some with the advance but not much and you can adjust the WOT advance.. Depending on the set up, it should work… . I don’t know of a sticky for carb cleaning but it has been addressed MANY times.

Valves get smashed by pistons when the timing belt breaks on interference fit motors. Some motors are designed where there can be no contact between pistons and valves regardless of crank/cam position line-up. I think that clearance and interference fit are being used interchangeably.
