When to change the transmission on a Hyundai Elantra?
With only 61k miles I would suggest the drain and fill if anything- however, hyundai doesn’t recommend replacing the transmission fluid until 100k miles on this car. If your car has the 1.8l engine then there is a drain plug on the bottom of the transmission that can be removed to drain the fluid.

When to change transmission fluid in a Hyundai?
Hyundai recommend to change the transmission fluid at 60K mikes. Now, It is important to verify the color of the transmission, if it is really red pink, that is ok, do not change it yet.
