When does a car window go down by itself?
The window will automatically stop and go down when it detects an object being jammed. This feature needs to be reset after work has been done on the vehicle and is fairly easy to do.
What to do when your windows go down by themselves?
1) Ignition on, engine not running. Do this for each window. This relearns the torque settings and the window extents (what is open and closed). By first detent, I mean use the manual window open control. Pulling up to the second detent will engage the automatic open/close thingy which is what you’re trying to fix.
Is there anything I can do about VW Windows going down by themselves?
Indeed, the doors were still locked (deadlocked in fact, so fortunately passers by couldn’t open the doors by reaching in and opening the door from the inside.) Has anyone seen this behaviour in their VW? Is there anything I can do, or do I essentially just have to take it back to VW for checking?
Why do my windows roll down all the time?
Infiniti G25 2011, about 3 months ago I replaced the battery and my wife reprogrammed the windows so that they will automatically go all the way back up with out having to hold the window button up the entire time. A few days later we came out in the morning to all four windows being rolled all the way down.
Why do my windows keep lowering by themselves?
All windows keep lowering by themselves overnight! This happened a few weeks ago for the first time. When we got up in the morning the windows were all fully open with the car on the drive in frosty weather, so you can imagine how damp and cold it was inside. There was frost on the inside of the windscreen.
Why are all the windows down in my car?
I don’t know what set the alarm off, but the milkman was outside at the time, about 0400. When I checked the car, all the windows were down again. Both sets of keys were on the dressing table so they couldn’t have been pressed. The car was again damp and a bit smelly this morning.
Why do the windows go down and the sunroof opens?
It’s actually a convenience factor built into the fob. It’s so you can have the hot car “air out” in the heat before you arrive at the car door. Nice if you have black interior as it cools it off a bit before you sit in it. I am surprised that someone could do this unintentionally.
