What is USB redirection?
USB redirection (Universal Serial Bus redirection) is a technology that allows an end user to plug an external device into a USB port on their endpoint and access the device from within a remote desktop or application.
How does USB redirection work?
USB redirection operates over a network. The throughput (performance) of redirected devices depends directly on your network latency. The higher the latency, the lower is the throughput. USB1 and USB2 devices are supported in Horizon View.
What is USB redirection horizon view?
When you use the USB redirection feature, most USB devices that are attached to the local client system become available from menus in Horizon Client. You use these menus to connect and disconnect the devices. You can connect USB devices to a remote desktop or published application either manually or automatically.

When a user plugs in a USB input device, the host checks if the device is allowed by the USB policy settings. If the device is allowed, the host then checks the Client USB device optimization rules for the device. If no rule is specified, then the device is handled as Interactive mode (02).
